


Dr Andrew Small is a General and Interventional Cardiologist practicing in the Brisbane metropolitan area. With over 15 years in private practice Andrew understands the needs of cardiac patients and aims to offer a comprehensive patient-focused cardiology service.
Andrew practices as a solo practitioner and as such offers a patient centered approach to his practice; taking the time to get to know his patients and following them through with all aspects of their cardiology care and treatment.
With a wealth of knowledge and years of clinical experience within the cardiac catheter laboratory, Dr Andrew Small prides himself in offering a high standard of care for all his patients.
Dr Small has a small team of staff who understand the often complex requirements of cardiac patients and are able to assist you with bookings and cardiac tests such as echocardiograms, exercise stress tests, and 24hour ECG monitoring.

Dr Andrew Small offers outpatient consultations and in-hospital care at the Wesley Hospital in Auchenflower, Brisbane.
He also offers cardiac testing at the Wesley Hospital and these include:
- Echocardiogram
- Holter Monitoring
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
- Resting ECG
- Exercise Stress Test (EST)
- Exercise Stress Echo (ESE)
These tests attract a fee with a small out of pocket expense after Medicare is claimed.

Dr Andrew Small – Cardiologist MBBS FRACP manages all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, with a special interest in acute coronary syndromes, coronary angiography and angioplasty. He also specialises in Trans Aortic Valve Implantation.
Dr Small commenced private practice at The Wesley Hospital in 2009. He graduated from the University of Queensland and completed his residency and physician training at Princess Alexandra Hospital before training in cardiology at the Royal Brisbane and Prince Charles Hospitals.
Dr Small completed a clinical Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in British Columbia, Canada, where he gained extensive experience in trans-radial coronary angiography and angioplasty. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
